EA Dunedin

Many of us wonder: what can I do to make the world a better place? At EA Dunedin, we help each other answer that question, using reason and evidence to find the best ways of doing good.

We host meetups, social events and speakers towards that end— and we’d love to have you join us! Together, we socialise and network with like-minded people, learn more about effective altruism, and support each other to do the most good that we can.

We aim to support each other in applying the principles of effective altruism to our own lives. This looks different for everyone: some pursue EA-aligned study paths and careers, while others look to make an impact through their donations. We also love to share the ideas of effective altruism with others, for them to consider and apply as they choose.

While we’re based at Otago University, and often hold events at the campus, you’re welcome to get involved whether or not you’re a student.
