Oryx and Crake Reading Group

📹 Virtual (Zoom)

Join the EA Anywhere team for a discussion of Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, a dystopian novel set in a future where genetic engineering rules the world. It explores themes of existential risk, animal welfare, trans- and posthumanism, and the psychological effects of widespread poverty and violence.

You can request a free digital copy of the book if you're planning to attend. The discussion will cover the book in full, but if you don't get a chance to finish reading before the group, feel free to join anyway! And if the time doesn't work for you, there’ll be another discussion on September 25 at 7 am.

Join the #book-club channel in the EA Anywhere Slack to engage with other members and suggest books for future discussions.
